Fast food restaurants in Texas are facing the problem of robberies. Authorities said that a fast food restaurant in the 7000 block of South Lake Houston Parkway was robbed as it was closing on May 3. The two men approached the door and asked for a cup of ice. When one of the employees opened the door, one of the suspects pulled out a gun from his pocket and demanded money from the cash registers. The second suspect took the other employee to a back room and also demanded cash. The suspects then fled away.
Recently, several armed robberies are taking place at the local fast food restaurants. The robbers' duo suspects have committed more than five armed robberies of local fast food restaurants.

It has been a trend among fast food restaurants to begin offering 'healthy' choices to deflect some of the mounting criticism they are facing over fast food health risks. But the question is, are these 'healthy' options really that much better for consumers than the regular fast food menu items, or is it just a ploy to get positive media spin?
A New York Times food columnist recently examined the nutritional merits of some of these items, only to find that a 'healthy' breakfast item at McDonalds, the Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, actually contained more sugar than a Snickers bar and only 10 fewer calories than an Egg McMuffin. Yet McDonald's is not alone in playing this shell game with consumers, as many other chains are resorting tot he same tactics. The only way to be sure is to scope out the nutrition information on a fast-food restaurant's website before you show up to order. What you learn will probably surprise you.

According to the Massachusetts medical society committee on nutrition, fast food items contain a large amount of fat. They are also high in carbohydrate constant. Studies have been done to find the association between fast foods and health risks and all the studies conclude with the same thing- fast foods are hazardous for health. Nearly all fast food items contain unsaturated fat which is the main cause of obesity. Furthermore, they also contain some ingredients which develop glucose resistance, causing diabetes at an early age.
Fast food health hazards do not end here as these items result in high calorie and low fiber which is also detrimental to health. Fast food also has another food hazard, like food poisoning. Fast food industries require a lot of workers and most of these workers are not trained well enough in preserving food items which increases the hazard of food poisoning. For these health hazards, these food items are called junk food which is why doctors always advise to keep away from these.
