Health Effect Of Fast Food Lead To Toy Ban

A new strategy has been put in place to remove all toys in fast food menus. The new ordinance has been passed through last Tuesday by a 8 to 3 vote in San Francisco. It is believed that fast food joints were providing toys in menus to help encourage children to have bad eating habits. This was highlighted recently, in which a large number of children are now obese with major health effects of fast food as a result.

This legislation which is only finalized in San Francisco will be effective from December 2011, which is almost a year away. It is hoped that the change will help assist parents and children make better choices for their children health.
